2 c. dried pinto beans
6 c. water
4 garlic cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 corn tortilla
2 dried chilli's

Directions:
Directions:
Bring beans and water to a boil. Let stand for 1 hour. Add 2 garlic cloves and salt to beans and resume cooking. Beans are done when they are soft. Drain off liquid and puree or mash beans. Add 2-3 inches of oil to frying pan. Add tortillas, chilli's and remaining garlic to oil and cook until browned then remove. Add mashed bean mixture to oil and fry until oil is absorbed. Add salt to taste. Continue stirring and frying beans until desired texture is reached.
