1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup pineapple juice
1-1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Grease square baking dish and line with greased waxed paper. Line pan with pineapple rings. Brown 4 tablespoon butter and add brown sugar. Cream 1/3 cup butter; add sugar, beaten egg yolks and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed sugar mixture, alternately with pineapple juice. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. While making batter; melt browned butter and brown sugar. When thick pour in the prepared pan. Add batter. Bake about 35 minutes in a 375º oven.
