2 sticks butter (not margarine)
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 (12 oz) bag Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Heat oven to 350º. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; add to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Put in freezer until it hardens a little. Form spoonfuls of dough into balls and press down onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes or just until set. Let cool on sheet slightly, then remove to cool on wax paper. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

These are Ian's favorite cookie. I've tried other chocolate chips but the Hershey's semi-sweet are truly the best choice. I only bake what we want at one sitting and keep the rest in the fridge or freezer for later!
