2 oranges
1 c sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup

Directions:

Score peel of 2 whole oranges into fourths; pull off sections of peel and cut each into thirds for uniformity of size. Cover strips of peel with cold water in saucepan; boil 15 minutes. Drain. Repeat process twice, the last time cooking until peel is tender; drain.
Combine sugar, corn syrup and 2 cups hot water. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add food coloring. If desired. Add cooked peel and continue cooking 45 minutes or until most of the syrup has been absorbed.
