2 sticks butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
3 tsp. soda
4 bananas, mashed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º.

Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Divide batter into two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 300º for 60 - 80 minutes or until center no longer looks gooey.
