5 oz flour
8 oz milk
3 eggs
3 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp butter
Powered sugar, as needed

Directions:
Directions:
1) Place flour in a large mixing bowl. In a separate container blend the milk, eggs, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla. Whisk the egg mixture into the flour, beating until well blended and smooth.

2) Place the butter in a heavy, black 10-inch skillet and put the skillet into a hot oven. When pan is hot and the butter is melted, but not burned, remove the pan and immediately pour in the batter. Return the pan to a 425º oven and bake until puffed, dry and lightly browned.

3) Dust with powdered sugar to liking.
