1 Pkg. Chocolate cake mix
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
2 - 1/3 rd Cup measures of evaporated milk
Package of chocolate bits (M&M's work)
Large pkg. caramels
Chopped nuts (walnuts)

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk
Combine cake mix, melted butter and the other 1/3 cup of evaporate milk and mix well.
Press 1/2 of this into a well greased 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350 for 6 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread chocolate bits and caramel mixture across surface. Sprinkle with nuts.
Spread remaining chocolate cake mixture on top.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes at 350 degrees
