Broccoli Soup Recipe

1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. butter/margarine
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. cooked broccoli
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

using a large sauce pan, saute onion in butter until tender

stir in four, salt, pepper-cook and stir until smooth and bubbly

add broth and milk-cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens

add broccoli-simmer until heated

remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese
