4 c. flour, 2 Tbls. baking powder, 4 tsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 c. thinly sliced green onion, 2 c. half-and-half, 1/2 c. butter, melted.

Preheat oven to 375º. In a large bowl, stir the dry ingredients together. Add the cheese and the green onion, and then add the half-and-half. mix gently to form a soft, moist dough. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 2 minutes. Do not over knead. Pat the dough out to a thickness of 1 inch. Using a 2-inch biscuit cutter or a glass, cut out the biscuits. Dip each into the melted butter to coat lightly on both sides. Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden.
