1 1/2 c. sugar
whipping cream, 1 carton
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Crushed Pecans, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and milk in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Reduce heat, simmer 6 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat. Add chocolate, stir to blend. Stir in butter and vanilla. Chill until mixture begins to thicken. Beat until thick and creamy. Add pecans before frosting, or frost and then sprinkle top and sides with pecans, if desired. Makes enough to fill and frost 8 or 9" layer cake.
