1/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder or baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, salt and soda, set aside. Cream shortening and butter. Gradually add sugar, mix until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients a little at a time, add raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls and bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes or until brown but soft.
