1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs (well beaten)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 ups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, flour, soda and salt. Beat until well mixed. Fold the pecans into the mixture.
Drop by tablespoons onto a greased and floured cookie sheets. Bake in preheated oven at 350 º for 12-15 minutes.
