Ingredients:
Ingredients:
¾ cup butter (no substitutes)
3 ¼ to 3 ¾ cups sifted powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter (Creamy)
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon vanilla
16 oz. semisweet chocolate (in baking aisle)
1 tablespoon shortening
Paraffin wax

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Or microwave in a microwave-safe bowl on 100% power (high) for 1 to 2 minutes.

Combine melted butter and 2 cups of the powdered sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Beat till smooth. Add peanut butter, beating till combined. Stir in milk and vanilla. Beat in enough of the remaining powdered sugar to make a firm, crumbly-looking mixture.

Roll mixture into 1” balls. Arrange on a tray, chill for 30 minutes

Meanwhile, melt chocolate and shortening in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Cool slightly. Using a fork, dip three-fourths of each ball into chocolate mixture so the ball resembles a buckeye (just small circle of peanut butter will show at top). If the chocolate mixture hardens, remelt over low heat.

Place balls, undipped portions up, on a tray lined with wax paper. Chill till firm. Store in refrigerator.

**Optional tips: add 1/2 bar of paraffin to the chocolate to help it adhere to the peanut butter ball without chipping. Also, you can dip the coated candy into a bowl of ice water immediately after the chocolate. This sets the chocolate and helps it to be finished faster.
