Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Electric Frypan / oil
Rice cooker & rice OR Rissoni
1 large onion (can use more if you like)
1 kilo of sliced beef or veal (I used 500 grams of rump sliced)
1-2 teaspoons garlic
3 Large flat mushrooms (can use more if u like)
1 packet of brown onion gravy (I used French onion soup mix)
salt & pepper (add as you go to taste)
1 small carton lite sour cream

Put on rice!
Cut onions small
Cut mushrooms in strips
Heat oil in electric fry pan (just a touch to cook the onions etc)
Add onions & garlic. Cook on LOW to soften onion – no need to brown them.
Add strips of meat and stir into onions and garlic
Make sure meat is browning not cooking
When meat is browned, add mushrooms, salt & pepper
Add ½ cup water, put lid on (leave to lightly simmer for approx 15 mins)
When meat is browned, put onion gravy mix in a cup of water & stir it, then tip into meat mixture in fry pan
Simmer with lid off now for 1-2 mins to make hot.
Try the meat – if tender, add 1 carton sour cream, stir through & simmer for another 1-2 mins.

SERVE ON RICE or RISSONI
