2 lbs. ground beef, browned
1 qt. spaghetti sauce
1 container (8-oz) cottage cheese
1 1/2 c. hot water
lasagna noodles
1 pkg. (8-oz) mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp. pepper
parmesan cheese
1 onion (optional)

Mix salt, pepper, basil, and sauce. Pour 1 1/2 cups of sauce into 9x13" pan. Add layer of uncooked noodles. Add one pound of hamburger in small pieces. Mix cottage cheese, parmesan, and 2 eggs and pour on top. Pour 1 1/2 cups of sauce on top and then add noodles again. Add cheddar cheese and add other pound of hamburger. Pour remaining sauce. Add mozzarella. Press down with hands and pour hot water over top. Press down again. Sprinkle parmesan on top and cover with foil. Bake for one hour at 375. Then uncover and bake for 45 minutes. Let set for 15 minutes before serving.
