2 C. sugar
8 C. water
1 lemon or orange peel
1/2 C. raisins
36 whole cloves
10 cinnamon sticks
1 gallon burgundy wine

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, water, and lemon or orange peel, raisin's, cloves and cinnamon sticks for 15 minutes. Add wine and keep just below boiling point. Serve from large coffee urn.

This recipe can also be made by placing all spices in the top basket of a large coffee pot. after boiling water and sugar and adding wine, perk through large coffee pot and serve.
