1 lb dry pinto beans
1 lb hamburger
1 onion chopped
salt and pepper to taste
2 [15oz] cans tomato sauce
1 chili brick

Directions:
Directions:
Clean and soak beans overnight
Drain beans and cook until tender, keeping enough water on them, to just cover and to keep them from scorching. In fry pan brown and crumble the hamburger, add onion and cook until onion is done. Add to beans along with chili brick, and tomato sauce, season. Simmer for 1/2 hour to an hour, or longer.

Chili brick is sometimes hard to find, you can use package chili seasoning if you want, but grandma always used the chili brick. You can also add other seasonings such as hot peppers.
