Cranberry Vodka Recipe

1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean split
1 bottle vodka (not premium brand)

Directions:
Directions:
Place cranberries, sugar and vanilla in a medium saucepan. Place pan over medium heat and stir. Simmer cranberry mixture until berries burst about 5-6 minutes.
Allow to cool and pour into large glass container with air tight lid ( I use original vodka bottle). Cover tightly and set aside for 1 week. After a week pour back into rinsed out vodka bottle. Store vodka in refrigerator.
