Poppy Seed Cake Recipe

2 c flour
3 tsps. baking powder
11/2 c sugar
Sift together in a bowl.

Form a well and add:
1/2 c salad oil
2 tsp vanilla
Poppy seed with water.

Soak 1/2 c poppy seeds in 1 c of water for 2 hours.

In another bowl beat 7 egg whites
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cream of tarter

Beat egg whites until very stiff peaks form and pour
the yolk mixture over by gently folding it in.

Pour in to an ungreased tube pan.

Bake in a 350 oven for 50 - 55 mins.
Turn the pan upside down to cool.
