1 Gallon chopped and peeled tomatoes
1 large onion (chopped fine)
1 large green pepper (chopped fine)
3 to 4 buds garlic (minced)
2 or 3 hot peppers (Determined by desired hot taste)
1 12 oz. can tomato paste
1 /4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. salt`

Directions:
Cook tomatoes in large soup pan for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Remove foam and junk that forms on the top. Add all ingredients except tomato paste. Cook 45 minutes to 1 hour slowly. (DO NOT ALLOW TO SCORCH) Stir constantly with wooden spoon or spatula. Add tomato paste and cook a little more. With this recipe you can either can or freeze with same results.

At home, we would use this over fried potatoes and especially over Navy Beans. Of course, Dad used it all the time.
