For One 9" pie crust:
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3 to 4 tbsp. water

For Filling: Beat first six ingredients together and fold in the pecan halves. Bake at 375 40-50 mins.

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter (melted)
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecan halves

For Pie Crust:
Mix together flour and salt, cut in shortening with a pastry blender, sprinkle water and mix lightly until you can form a ball. Flour your surface and rolling pin. Handle dough gently and roll out, being sure that you are able to move it around. Use more flour if necessary. Using a spatula loosen the dough, and gently fold in half. Place in pie pan and unfold.
