1 lb. cheap cut up beef (cut off fat )
salt and pepper
Potato per person
carrots per person
stalk of celery
6 tbsp. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put cut up beef in big pot with enough water to cover the meat. Cover and cook 2 hours. Add water when necessary. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pare potatoes,
carrots, and celery. Make a thickening of flour and water. Stir this into meat in big pot. Liquid should be less thick than gravy. Add carrots and cook 10 minutes. Add celery and potatoes and cook until tender.
