7 red bell peppers
5 green bell peppers
12 green tomatoes, medium
6 onions, coarsely ground
1 head cabbage, chopped as for slaw
6 medium red peppers, or hot pepper flakes to taste
Celery seed, to taste
Mustard seed to taste
4 cups white vinegar
4 cups water
6 cups sugar

Directions:
Use a coarse grinder and grind tomatoes and peppers together. I usually have equal amounts of peppers and tomatoes. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of salt over and let stand at room temperature over night. Next day drain mixture. Add chopped cabbage, onions, mustard and celery seed and red peppers or flakes. Combine vinegar, water and sugar. Pour over. Heat to boiling and can while hot in sterilized jars.
