1 egg white
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/16 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cream tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups strawberries, drained and sliced
prepared pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Mix unbeaten egg white, sugar, water, salt and cream of tartar in double boiler; beating constantly until mixture thickens and forms peaks. This takes about 7 minutes. Remove from heat; add vanilla; continue beating until cool. Arrange sliced strawberries in prepared crust. Pour filling over fruit. Garnish with whole berries. Chill at least an hour before serving.
