- 1/2 cup - butter
- 1/2 cup - all purpose flour
- 4 heaping tbsp - chicken oxo powder
- 1 heaping tbsp - curry powder
- 4 cups water
- 4 cups - broccoli florets - chopped
- 3/4 cup - whip cream

- in a Dutch oven combine butter, flour, oxo, curry powder
- cook slightly till combined
- slowly add water a little at a time, stirring and allowing to thicken after each addition.
- cook the broccoli in boiling salted water for approximately 5 minutes
- in a blender puree the broccoli and its water a little at a time adding each bunch to the flour mixture
- stir in the cream and allow to thicken slightly, do not boil
- serve
