6-8 boiled eggs, slice in half and remove the yolk (save yolks
for the filling)

Filling:
Egg yolks from hard boiled eggs
2-3 tsp sweet pickle relish
1 tsp prepared mustard
1/2 tsp vinegar
enough mayo or salad dressing to moisten
salt and pepper to taste

Mix the filling ingredients with the egg yolks, then fill the white with the mixture. Refrigerate.

Whenever I go home Mom always has deviled eggs ready for me to snack on. She copied the recipe from her Mom (Gertrude Grantland). Rather than measure, Granny would add a pinch of this and a tad of that until it tasted like she wanted it to.
