cucumbers
2 teaspoon salt
4 heads fresh dill
4 cloves garlic
1 cup sugar
1 cup cold water
1 cup vinegar
2 quart jars

Directions:
Directions:
Wash cucumbers, slice lengthwise and put into jars. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 2 heads fresh dill and 2 cloves garlic per quart. Mix sugar, cold water and vinegar. Pour cold mixture over pickles. Seal jars and set in kettle of water and bring to a boil for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and retighten seal.

This recipe is enough for 2 quarts. Multiply by 3-1/2 times to have enough syrup for 7 quarts.
Dark vinegar is best, but may use either, or half dark and half white. These are quick, easy and good.
