Basic Rolls:
2 t. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed potato (or flakes)
3/4 c. shortening
2 yeast cakes, dissolved in 1/2 c. tepid water
1 c. milk
1 c. flour
3 eggs
5-6 c. flour
1/4 c. butter or margerine
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or margerine
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
3 T. cinnamon

Cream together first 4 ingredients. Add yeast, milk, and 1 c. flour. Fold in eggs. Allow to double in size. Add 5-6 c. flour. Melt 1/4 c. butter in baking pan, sprinkle brown sugar into butter.
Mix 1 c. butter, sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon, beat together to form a smooth paste.
Separate roll dough into 2 parts, roll as thin as possible. Spread with 1/2 of cinnamon mixture. Roll and pinch together. Slice rolls 1/2 in. thick. Set into butter & brown sugar in pan. Allow to rise. Bake in oven 350 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from heat and immediately turn onto wax paper. Leave pan over rolls so sugar
will drizzle over rolls.
