1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or half lard
1 egg
2-1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Roll into balls size of a walnut. Then dip in water and then in sugar. Place on cookie sheet and press down with fork. Bake at 350º for 8 minutes.
