2 cups. all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 sticks oleo
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cups water
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour-sugar & salt, set aside.
Place oleo, cocoa & water in a pan & bring to a boil.
Remove from heat & pour mixture over dry ingredients & stir till lumps are gone.
Add buttermilk, soda, eggs & vanilla-stir & bake in a sheet cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F, for 15 to 20 minutes.

Half Pint carton of Buttermilk = 1 Cup, plenty for Cake & Icing.
