Steak Cosmopolitan Recipe

1 pound steak (or sirloin) cut into 1" strips
3 tsp. oil
1 cup sliced onion
2 cups diagonally sliced carrots
1/3 cup burgundy wine
1 3/4 cup beef broth
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup sliced celery
2 T. cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Brown the steak in oil, in a large pan, add liquid ingredients, and onion and simmer until meat is tender. Add remaining ingredients. and cook until veggies are tender, approximately 45 minutes. Thicken if needed with 2 T. cornstarch and 1/4 cup water, or thin with beef broth as desired.
Serve over cooked wide noodles or mashed potatoes, or bread.
