1 c sugar
¾ c butter
2 beaten eggs
2 T milk
2 ½ c flour
1 t baking powder
½ t baking soda
½ t salt
1 t vanilla
1 c chopped dates
1 c chopped pecans
½ c chopped maraschino cherries
2 ½ c corn flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt and combine with other mixture. Fold in dates, pecans and cherries.
Crush corn flakes. Roll 1 ½” ball of dough in corn flakes and place on greased cookie sheets. Top each with ½ cherry. All cherries should be well drained. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.

The Cookie Tray has always been on the table at Christmas time. I remember a freezer full of special colorful and flavorful treats. They sure didn’t last long—some of them didn’t even last long enough to be put on the tray!
