butter

Directions:
Heat skillet over medium heat. Make a hole in each slice of bread with your fingers (or use a donut cutter if you have one) about the size of an egg yolk.

In the skillet, add 1 T. butter until it's hot and bubbles down. Place a slice of bread in the butter, and crack the egg, nestling it into the hole of the bread.

Cook for a minute, or so until the egg is stable enough to flip. Gently turn the bread and egg and cook on the other side in more butter until desired doneness of the egg is achieved.
