1/2 c shortening 1 1/2 cups flour
1 c brown sugar 1/2 tsp soda
1 egg 1/2 c milk
1 1/2 square chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
1 c nuts

Cream the butter and sugar, add beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately. Then add melted chocolate, vanilla and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on greased pan,
Bake 15 - 20 minutes @ 375

2 T butter 2 T milk
2 squares of chocolate 2 cups powdered sugar
Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler,
add milk, sift in powdered sugar until thick enough to spread. Add vanilla
