6 white potatoes
3 sweet potatoes
1 bunch of parsley
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
3 medium onions
2 medium tomatoes
4 scallions
3 lbs of fresh cleaned whole saltwater fish cut into small pieces
Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In a large kettle, gently saute' chopped onions, tomatoes,scallions, and peppers in oil.
Next, add fish and cover with water.
Cover and bring to a gentle boil.
Add potatoes and parsley, reduce heat and simmer.

note: I have never had this with the peppers or tomato. In Cape Verde it was very simple with a little potato and sweet potato in an enjoyable broth. I have had it that way here in the states too...
