4 c. half and half
¾ - 1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
(I like to add cream)
Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Freeze in metal bowl until almost solid. Beat well. Freeze again. Beat again.

NOTE: May use 2½ c. milk powder plus water to make 4 cups instead of half and half.
