Berry Pie

Preheat oven to 300 degrees
*Make 5 egg whites into a meringue until peaks
Add 2/3 cup granulated sugar, ¼ cup of confectioner’s sugar, ½ tsp. vanilla and a pinch
Of salt
Beat all ingredients slowly for about two minutes.
Grease and flour a pie plate (9 ½ glass pyrex)
Pour mixture and bake for 30-35 minutes
*You can use a frozen pie crust instead

Filling
Defrost a frozen package of sliced strawberries or raspberries.
Strain and save syrup
One pint of whipping cream add ¾ tsp vanilla and ¼ cup confectioner’s sugar.
Beat cream
Add some of the saved syrup to the whipped cream for flavor
Spread the drained fruit over the shell and cover with whipped cream. Refrigerate until served
