5 large sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced in 1/8 round slices
6 gala apples, peeled and de-cored, sliced in wedges like for an apple pie
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup raisins
4 tb butter
1/2 tsp salt
6 tb all-purpose flour
6 slices lemon, thinly sliced

Preheat oven to 350. lightly grease or spray Pam (non stick cooking oil) on casserole dish
Boil sweet potatoes about 15 minutes
Alternate layers of the hot sweet potatoes and apples.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix together brown sugar, 2/3 cup water, cinnamon, raisins, butter and salt. Cook 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, stir together remaining water and flour.
Combine with the brown sugar mixture; pour over the sweet potatoes and apples. Place the lemon slices on top

Bake covered in the preheated oven 40 min. Uncover and continue baking 20 min
