6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 cups sugar
2 cups saltine crackers (broken into 4 or 5 pieces each)
3/4 cup nuts
2 tsp vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling
cool whip

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg white until frothy. Add cram of tartar and beat until stiff.

Add sugar, crackers; add nuts and vanilla.

Mix well and put in a buttered or sprayed dish (8x12).

Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. When cooled, spread cool whip on top. Top with cherry pie filling.

Refrigerate.
