Ingredients:  
1/2 cup white corn syrup
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine syrup, sugar, salt, & water in pan. Cook over
medium-high heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Cook without stirring to 248º.
Beat egg whites until stiff (not dry) in a large mixing bowl while
waiting for syrup to reach 248º. Pour half of syrup into egg
whites beating constantly.
Cook remaining syrup to 272º. Slowly add syrup to first mix.
Beat until it holds shape. Add vanilla. Drop onto waxed
paper. If it gets too thick before you are done, you can add a
few drops of hot water.
