1 c. Cake Flour
1 1/2 c. Egg Whites
1/4 tsp. Salt
3/4 c. Sugar
7/8 c. Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Cream of tartar
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Sift cake flour before measuring. Sift Flour and 7/8 cup of sugar together three times.In mixing bowl add all other ingredients except 3/4 cup sugar. Beat until egg whites stand in peaks, add 3/4 cup sugar. Continue beating until quite stiff. Fold in flour and sugar mixture. Bake in ungreased tube pan for 45 min. at 350 degrees. Invert pan on bottle or something similar and let cool.
