"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 8 oz pkg of cream cheese (slightly softened)
1 3 oz pkg of cream cheese (slightly softened)
3 green onions with stems (chopped)
1 2 - 2.5 oz pkg of thin sliced beef (diced)
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp mayonnaise
Dash (or two) of garlic salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Assorted crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Place chopped nuts in separate bowl.
In large mixing bowl, combine first seven (7) ingredients. Mix throughly.
Shape into ball; roll in chopped nuts. Refrigerate overnight.
Allow to warm for approximately 1 hour before serving. Serve with an assortment of crackers.

Comments: I only make this around the holidays but it is a family favorite. It can be made several days ahead of time (nice for the busy payroll professional) and keeps well in the refrigerator. If I need to make a couple at a time, I buy 3 8 oz packages of cream cheese and use 1 and 1/2 packages for each ball.
