3 1 oz squares unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 beaten egg
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
combine chocolate, 2/3 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk and 1 beaten egg in sauce pan. Cook over low heat until chocolate melts and mixture thickens stirring constantly. Let cool
Stir shortening to soften, gradually add sugar (1 cup) and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and remaining eggs 1 at a time beating well after each egg.
Sift together flour soda and salt. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternating with 2/3 cup milk beginning and ending with flour. Blend in chocolate mixture. Bake in desired pan 350 degrees 25-30 minutes.
