1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons almond flavoring
1 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
cream all ingredients except flour. Fold in flour. Roll into logs wrap in wax paper and chill. keep chilled till you roll out and cut. Roll out to 1/4 inch or less thick and cut with cookie cutters.Bake at 350 degrees until edges are lightly brown around 8-10 minutes.Decorate as desired. Don’t over bake.

These cookies were cut out with a special Santa cookie cutter and carefully decorated. My mother Pearl would make these and individually wrap and deliver them to our grade school classes. Everyone loved them.
