1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/3 cup dark corn syrup
3/4 stick butter
1 can milk
1/2 teaspoon. vanilla
salt
chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
combine sugar and syrup, cook over medium heat stirring constantly until firm ball stage (245 degrees)
stir in butter, as you stir add milk slowly, so mixture continues to boil, bring again to 245 degrees. Add vanilla and salt. Pour onto a 13x9x2 greased pan. Cool until firm spread nuts on buttered waxed paper cut the size of the pan. Turn candy out on nuts and roll as a jelly roll. Pressing nuts into Caramel. Cut into 3 pieces. Then into candy size pieces.

I know, hardly anyone makes candy anymore, but I have such fond memories of my Mother making this candy every holiday. It is very easy to make, and oh so good
