2 oz each dried bean:
Small limas
Navy beans
Yellow split peas
Green split peas
Kidney beans
Blackeye peas
Lentils
Barley
2 qt water
2-3 smoked ham hock or ham bone
1 lg onion, chopped
1 qt tomatoes
Juice of one lemon
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Wash beans and place in large kettle. Cover with water and add 2 tbsp salt. Soak overnight. After soaking drain and add water and ham hock. Bring to boil and simmer 3 hours. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1/2 hour or more if desired. Freezes well.
