3c. ( 1 1/2 pkgs. 11.5 oz each ) Hershey's Milk Choc. Chips
1 can ( 14 oz. ) sweetened condensed milk ( not evaporated )
Dash salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 - 1 c. chopped nuts ( optional )

Directions:

1. Line 8 or 9" square pan w/ wax paper.
2. Place choc. chips, sweet condensed milk, & salt in med. microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high 1 min., stir, if necessary, microwave additional 15 sec. at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted & mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla & nuts, if desired. Spread evenly in prepared pan.
3. Refrigerate 2 hrs. or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off paper & cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator.

Variations- Semi-Sweet Festive Fudge- Proceed as above using 3 c. ( 11/2 pkg. 12 oz. each ) Semi Sweet Choc chips.
Conventional Method- Melt choc. chips, w/ sweet condensed milk, & salt in heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla & nuts, if desired. Spread evenly into prepared pan.
