2 pkgs. (4 oz. ea.) Baker's German Sweet Chocolate or use 1 pkg. 8 squares, Baker's Semi- Sweet Chocolate, cutting 2 of the squares into chunks. 1-1/3 c. flaked coconut, 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/3 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 3 T. sour cream, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1 egg slightly beaten, 1 tsp. vanilla.

Cut 1/2 pkg. of the chocolate into large chunks. Mix flour with baking powder, salt, & baking soda; set aside. Melt butter in saucepan; add sugar. Blend in egg & vanilla. Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chunks & 2/3 c. coconut. Spread into greased 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350º for 35 minutes. Cool pan. Meanwhile, melt remaining in saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly. Cool slightly; stir in sour cream. Spread over top of brownies. Sprinkle with remaining coconut. Chill until firm, about 10 minutes. Cut into squares.
