1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup butterscotch or semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped, and toasted

Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9x9 cake pan. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. With an electric mixer cream the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs, and vanilla; beat until well combined. Add flour mixture; beat on low until well combined.
Fold in the chips and the toasted pecans. Bake 45-50 minutes; until surface is golden brown.
