1 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 cups oats
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugars together, then mix in eggs and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg; fold into creamed mixture. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop dough in desired size balls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Makes about 4 dozen.
